Call for Applications: Summer 2023 Graduate Student Fellowships

Once again, we invite UConn graduate students to apply for summer fellowships for 2023. Students across all fields whose research has a primary focus on gender identity are eligible. For 2023, the Wood/Raith Living Trust will award 12 graduate stipends at a maximum of $4,000 each.

Students applying for this fellowship support should note that they are writing for an interdisciplinary audience. In your application, please provide the following:

1) An opening 100-word paragraph that contextualizes past teaching, research, and service activities that are gender-related. 

2) Edited 2-page maximum CV, including primarily gender-related activities that pertain to teaching, research, service, and funding (both internal and external). 

3) 425-word summary of specific gender identity research projects, written for a broad audience, including: 

  1. a concise overview of the project objectives, aims, and significance/contribution of the work
  2. a clear description of the methods used for the entire project,
  3. a list of specific tasks planned during the grant period, and
  4. a clear statement of relevance to the study of gender identity.

4) 75-word summary of the importance of the funding in accomplishing the goals, highlighting estimated research and living costs, as well as other anticipated summer support (including amount and source).

4) 75-word summary of the importance of the funding in accomplishing the goals, highlighting estimated research and living costs, as well as other anticipated summer support (including amount and source).

Students interested in receiving this fellowship support must provide the following:

1) edited CV that includes only gender-related activities with respect to teaching, research and service

2) 250-word summary of specific gender identity research goals outlined for the period (summer 2021).

3) 75-word summary of the importance of the stipend support in being able to accomplish the goals, highlighting estimated research and living costs, as well as other anticipated summer support.

We would like to invite UConn graduate students to apply for summer fellowships for 2019. Students across all fields whose research has a primary focus on gender identity are eligible. For 2019, the Wood/Raith Living Trust will award 12 graduate stipends at a maximum of $4,000 each.

Students interested in receiving this fellowship support must provide the following:

2) 250-word summary of specific gender identity research goals outlined for the period (summer 2019).

3) 50-word summary of the importance of the stipend support in being able to accomplish the goals.

4) 50-word indication of commitment to the study of gender identity.

Graduate student fellowship funding initiative — due 5/10/18
